Aid from Victim Support Netherlands

For many parents, the consequences of the mistakes made with childcare benefits have been immense. In addition to financial problems, parents may also have social and psychological problems. At the request of State Secretary Van Huffelen, Victim Support Netherlands (Slachtofferhulp Nederland) provides aid to affected parents. This aid is provided at no cost.

Should you wish to do so, you may approach Victim Support Netherlands for:

  • Emotional support
  • Practical aid and advice
  • A sympathetic ear
  • Referral to the correct municipal assistance organisations

You will receive support from one of the staff members of Victim Support Netherlands when you apply. These staff members are trained in providing emotional support and helping to reduce stress. Victim Support is well aware of the problems parents are facing and are therefore able to quickly provide suitable aid.

About Victim Support Netherlands

Victim Support Netherlands annually helps 200,000 victims and next of kin to get their lives back on track after a traumatic event. Victim Support Netherlands provides emotional support and helps with applying for damages.

‘People can still be suffering severely from the problems resulting from the mishaps with childcare benefits. In many cases, no solution has yet been found for your debts and emotional problems. Do not be ashamed of your situation and feelings. It is not your fault, it is perfectly fine to call for help.”
